Registration for 2010-2011 school year begins NOW!!

Don't forget to register for band class BOTH semesters! It is possible to take band every semester and still complete your graduation needs, as well as take other electives.  To do this, you simply need to plan ahead.  Registration info, complete with sample course schedules, is available here and on the Forms menu.

Concert Bands Give Area Performances in March

Concord Band's concert bands will give several performances in the area over the next few weeks. Most of these performances will also feature groups from other local high schools, so please come to support Cabarrus County school's Band Programs! Concord students registered for HONORS BAND can attend a concert in which they do not play to receive class credit.

CONCERT BAND, Tuesday, March 16th @ Hickory Ridge H.S. Auditorium - Students: report by 5:35 to Hickory Ridge auditorium. Concert begins at 6:00 pm.
WIND ENSEMBLE, Thursday, March 18th @ J.M. Robinson H.S. Auditorium - Students: report by 5:45p at Robinson's band room.  Concert begins at 6:00 pm
WIND ENSEMBLE, Thursday, March 25th - FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE! Students report to band room at 7:15a. Performance is at Shelby High School at 11:15a. Students will eat lunch after performance and arrive back at Concord HS approx. 2:10p.
WIND ENSEMBLE, Friday, MARCH 26th @ Cox Mill H.S. Auditorium. Students: report by 6:30 to Cox Mill Band Room.

Concord Wind Ensemble to perform a joint concert with Cox Mill HS & UNC Charlotte

The Concord Wind Ensemble is honored to have been invited to participate in a joint concert with Cox Mill HS and UNC-Charlotte's Wind Ensemble, hosted by Cox Mill H.S. The concert will be Friday, March 26th. This performance has been added to the list of required performances for the Wind Ensemble.

Call time and start time for the concert will be announced shortly, but students should reserve the ENTIRE evening to play and enjoy the other performances!

Concert Bands

Concert bands are the core of any quality band program.  Daily classroom rehearsals teach students practice methods while honing their musical abilities and enhancing their instrumental technique. 

Concert bands exist throughout the school year and are open to all band students.  Every musician needs this daily education, and it is important that it continues throughout the entire school year.
