13 Students Selected for All-County Honor Band

The Cabarrus County Honor Band Clinic is Friday & Saturday, Feb 19-20 @ J.M. Robinson H.S. The final concert is Saturday, Feb 20 at 1p.m. Concord students registered for HONORS BAND can attend this concert to receive class credit.

Registration for 2010-2011 school year begins SOON!!

Don't forget to register for band class BOTH semesters! It is possible to take band every semester and still complete your graduation needs, as well as take other electives.  To do this, you simply need to plan ahead.  Registration info, complete with sample course schedules, is available here and on the Forms menu.

Charlotte Youth Wind Ensemble Concerts

The Charlotte Youth Wind Ensemble is a regional Honor Band sponsored by UNC-Charlotte. This year, Concord is representated by Mike S. on trumpet. They have 3 upcoming concert performance. Concord students registered for HONORS BAND can attend one of these concert to receive class credit.

Concord Wind Ensemble to perform a joint concert with Cox Mill HS & UNC Charlotte

The Concord Wind Ensemble is honored to have been invited to participate in a joint concert with Cox Mill HS and UNC-Charlotte's Wind Ensemble, hosted by Cox Mill H.S. The concert will be Friday, March 26th. This performance has been added to the list of required performances for the Wind Ensemble.

Call time and start time for the concert will be announced shortly, but students should reserve the ENTIRE evening to play and enjoy the other performances!

Concert Bands

Concert bands are the core of any quality band program.  Daily classroom rehearsals teach students practice methods while honing their musical abilities and enhancing their instrumental technique. 

Concert bands exist throughout the school year and are open to all band students.  Every musician needs this daily education, and it is important that it continues throughout the entire school year.
